Roblox Integrates XRP as Payment Method
Roblox, the online gaming platform with over 200 million monthly active users, now accepts XRP as a payment method.
On October 17, BitPay made an announcement on X (previously known as Twitter) that Roblox, an online gaming platform featuring over 200 million monthly active users, has started accepting XRP as a payment method.
This integration is facilitated by Xsolla, which manages in-game payments for Roblox, with BitPay acting as the bridge ensuring a smooth connection with cryptocurrency wallets.

Available across various platforms, including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, Roblox is a force to be reckoned with in the gaming industry. The platform records an impressive 65.5 million daily active users, with 44% of them being under the age of 13. In terms of financials, Roblox users shelled out approximately $773 million on in-game purchases in just the first quarter of 2023.
Xsolla has been proactive in incorporating cryptocurrency into its payment infrastructure. In August 2022, it collaborated with Coinchange Financial, an automated crypto management platform, and TradeZing, a Web3-based live-streaming social platform, to create a payment solution for non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In August 2023, Xsolla partnered with Crypto.com to integrate Crypto.com's checkout solution into the Xsolla Pay Station platform.
The collaboration between Xsolla and BitPay dates back to 2014, when Xsolla began accepting Bitcoin payments. They also launched PayPal USD payments for both merchants and consumers in September 2023.
